Job summary

Phoenix Physical Therapy is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to support patient treatment and assist the Physical Therapist with procedures. The role emphasizes safety, equipment preparation, and collaboration with the care team to optimize patient outcomes.

The PTA must have an Associate degree in Physical Therapy or PTA program and a CPR certificate, with a preferred minimum of two years in similar settings, ensuring compassionate, confidential care.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in physical therapy or PTA program required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a physical therapy facility, nursing home, or rehabilitation agency preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a patient treatment schedule aligned with facility needs.
• Confer with care team and inform management of patient needs, treatment changes, and progress.
• Aid in patient care and safety, prepare equipment for treatments.
• Assist the Physical Therapist in selected procedures under PT directions.
• Check patient and equipment during treatment for comfort and safety.
• Perform housekeeping duties to maintain order and cleanliness.
• Attend facility meetings as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
