Job summary

Lifepoint Health® is looking for a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) at Mercy Hospital Pittsburg to provide essential physical therapy services to help make communities healthier. This full-time role offers an opportunity to work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist and implement treatment plans for patients.

The ideal candidate will have an active PTA license in Kansas, an Associate's degree or related qualification, and BLS certification. Responsibilities include documenting patient progress, educating caregivers, and assisting with discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Must have an active and valid Physical Therapist Assistant license in Kansas.
• Associate’s degree or completed Physical Therapy Assistant program required.
• BLS certification is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Implement the treatment plan developed by the supervising therapist.
• Monitor patient responses to the treatment plan.
• Communicate patient progress and goal revisions to the Physical Therapist.
• Document services provided and patient progress.
• Educate patients and families about patient deficits.
• Assist with patient discharge planning.
• Provide information on adaptive equipment and community support.
