Job summary

Kent Hospital in Warwick, RI, is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join the Inpatient Rehabilitation team on a PRN basis. The PTA will support supervised therapy plans, apply modalities, monitor responses, and contribute to patient education and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from a PTA program.
• Current PTA license in state of practice.
• CPR/BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Rehab or acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans developed by a supervising Physical Therapist.
• Document all services rendered and educate patients and families about deficits and recovery strategies.
• Support discharge planning and connect patients to community resources.
• Maintain and update progress notes and communicate therapy goals clearly.
