Kent Hospital in Warwick, RI, is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join the Inpatient Rehabilitation team on a PRN basis. The PTA will support supervised therapy plans, apply modalities, monitor responses, and contribute to patient education and discharge planning.

Qualificações

• Associate’s degree from a PTA program.
• Current PTA license in state of practice.
• CPR/BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Rehab or acute care experience preferred.

Inpatient Rehabilitation at Kent Hospital, located at 455 Toll Gate Road, Warwick, RI 02886, offers customized patient and family‑focused rehabilitation treatment and education that emphasize each patient’s unique strengths, abilities and preferences. How you’ll contribute

A dedicated and licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) responsible for implementing individualized treatment plans developed by a supervising Physical Therapist. This role involves applying appropriate therapeutic modalities, monitoring patient responses, and providing timely updates on progress or needed adjustments to treatment goals. The PTA documents all services rendered and educates patients and their families or caregivers about physical deficits and recovery strategies. Additional duties include supporting discharge planning, advising on adaptive equipment, and connecting patients to community support resources. Strong critical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to perform effectively under pressure with minimal supervision are essential for success in this position.
