Job summary

Christian Hospital, part of BJC HealthCare, is hiring a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to work with patients across ICU, step-down units, orthopedics, neuro, and more. The role offers a supportive team, flexibility, and exposure to a wide range of patients and diseases states.

Schedule is Mon - Fri, Days (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM) with 1 Saturday per month; opportunity to advance your PTA career within our comprehensive benefits and learning environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active PTA license.
• Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Implements treatment plan as developed by the licensed physical therapist.
• Collaborates with the licensed physical therapist on an agreed upon frequency to assess and reassess patient’s plan of care, treatment goals and interventions.
• Documents patient progress in daily notes and weekly notes (as applicable), and contributes recommendations to patient’s discharge note from physical therapy.
• Assists with guidance for clinical fieldwork students under the supervision of the physical therapist.
• Reports on interventions and patient progress during assigned meetings and contributes to the screening and evaluation process.

The Speech Pathology Department at Christian Hospital is located on the second floor of CH . Services are provided to adults with deficits in speech, language, voice, dysphagia and cognition.

Role Purpose
