BJC HealthCare in Florissant, MO, is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant for outpatient therapy roles. You will join a world renowned medical team and provide one-on-one patient care in an outpatient setting, under the supervision of a licensed PT.

The position offers flexible scheduling between 7:00 AM and 6:30 PM, no weekends, and a comprehensive benefits package through BJC Total Rewards. An Associate's Degree-PT Assistant and PTA license are required; prior experience is not

Formación

• Associate degree as PT Assistant required.
• Current PTA license/certification required.
• No prior experience required.
• Outpatient therapy experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Implements treatment plan as developed by the licensed physical therapist.
• Collaborates with the licensed physical therapist on an agreed upon frequency to assess and reassess patient’s plan of care, treatment goals and interventions.
• Documents patient progress in daily notes and weekly notes (as applicable), as well as contributes recommendations to patient’s discharge note from physical therapy.
• Assists with guidance for clinical fieldwork students under the supervision of the physical therapist.
• Reports on interventions and patient progress during assigned meetings and contributes to the screening and evaluation process.

Provides outpatient physical therapy evaluation and treatments for patients with any number of physical impairments which affect their ability to function and/or cause pain. Department is staffed by physical therapists, physical therapists' assistants, and aides

Role Purpose

Provides skilled treatments to patients as prescribed by the physician and directed by a licensed physical therapist as specified in their health care service setting.
