Job summary

Piggly Wiggly Midwest LLC is seeking a part-time custodian/janitor in Sheboygan, WI to maintain a clean and safe warehouse and office environment. The role includes floor care, spill management, and proper disposal of packaging materials, with a focus on safety and housekeeping.

The position offers a 3rd shift (Sunday–Friday 7:00pm–11:00pm PT) at $20 per hour, with weekly pay, benefits from day one, training, and opportunities for career progression within a large grocery distribution network.

Qualifications

• Attendance required.
• General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or higher.
• High School Diploma or General Studies.

Responsibilities

• Provide and maintain a clean and safe work environment as custodian/janitor across warehouse and office areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, buff and wax floors; use pallet jack and scrubber as needed.
• Tend to spills, damaged product, oil or grease.
• Collect plastic wrap, shredded paper, and empty boxes for disposal.
• Follow all material handling equipment safe operating procedures.
• Occasionally lift varying case weights and heights; follow PPE and safety rules.

Job Description

You will contribute by:

• Providing and maintaining a clean and safe work environment by acting as a custodian / janitor - Performing janitorial duties such as cleaning the entire warehouse, including office space, employee break areas, windows and restrooms

• Maintaining good housekeeping by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, buffing and waxing floors - Occasionally pulling product out of pick slots using an electric pallet jack to clean with a scrubber and returning product

• Tending to spills including damaged product, oil, grease, etc.

• Collecting plastic wrap, shredded paper, and empty boxes to be disposed of properly

• Following all material handling equipment safe operating procedures

• Occasional safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels

• Having the ability and willingness to follow all material handling equipment safe operating procedures

• Continually Standing, bending, pulling, lifting, pivoting up to 90% of shift

• Walking on various surfaces including concrete, tile, carpet, etc.

• Frequently lifting of product weighing between 1 - 60 lbs. or more

• Frequent lifting of product ranging from floor to overhead

• Possibility of working on multiple levels of varying height

• Safe handling of sharp objects including box cutting tools
