Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers is seeking a dedicated custodian/janitor for our Sheboygan, WI facility. You will maintain a clean, safe environment across warehouse and office areas, including floors, restrooms, and break rooms.

Duties include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, buffing and waxing; handling spills; and assisting with safe operation of lifting and pallet-jack tasks as needed. We offer paid training, weekly pay, benefits from day 1, PTO/holiday pay, and opportunities for career progression.

Qualifications

• Attendance is required and reliability is important.
• General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or equivalent.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in warehouse facilities and offices.
• Clean warehouse spaces, offices, break areas, windows and restrooms.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, buff and wax floors; handle spills promptly.
• Operate or assist with material handling equipment is used safely.
• Lift and move products up to 60 lbs repeatedly.
• Assist with duties across shifts as needed.

Job Description

You will contribute by: Providing and maintaining a clean and safe work environment by acting as a custodian / janitor - Performing janitorial duties such as cleaning the entire warehouse, including office space, employee break areas, windows and restrooms Maintaining good housekeeping by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, buffing and waxing floors - Occasionally pulling product out of pick slots using an electric pallet jack to clean with a scrubber and returning product Tending to spills including damaged product, oil, grease, etc. Collecting plastic wrap, shredded paper, and empty boxes to be disposed of properly Following all material handling equipment safe operating procedures Occasional safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels Having the ability and willingness to follow all material handling equipment safe operating procedures What’s a great way to stay in shape? Continually Standing, bending, pulling, lifting, pivoting up to 90% of shift Walking on various surfaces including concrete, tile, carpet, etc. Frequently lifting of product weighing between 1 - 60 lbs. or more Frequent lifting of product ranging from floor to overhead Possibility of working on multiple levels of varying height Safe handling of sharp objects including box cutting tools
