Job summary

Piggly Wiggly Midwest LLC is seeking a dedicated custodian for the 3rd shift to maintain a clean and safe warehouse and office environment. Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, and operating a pallet jack when needed to move product and clean work areas.

The role requires standing, bending, lifting up to 60 lbs, and following all safety procedures. Benefits and weekly pay are offered, with training provided on the job.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe warehouse and office spaces.

• Stand, bend, lift, and move up to 60 lbs as needed.

Job Description

You will contribute by:

• Providing and maintaining a clean and safe work environment by acting as a custodian / janitor - Performing janitorial duties such as cleaning the entire warehouse, including office space, employee break areas, windows and restrooms
• Maintaining good housekeeping by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, buffing and waxing floors - Occasionally pulling product out of pick slots using an electric pallet jack to clean with a scrubber and returning product
• Tending to spills including damaged product, oil, grease, etc.
• Collecting plastic wrap, shredded paper, and empty boxes to be disposed of properly
• Following all material handling equipment safe operating procedures
• Occasional safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels
• Having the ability and willingness to follow all material handling equipment safe operating procedures

• Continually Standing, bending, pulling, lifting, pivoting up to 90% of shift
• Walking on various surfaces including concrete, tile, carpet, etc.
• Frequently lifting of product weighing between 1 - 60 lbs. or more
• Frequent lifting of product ranging from floor to overhead
• Possibility of working on multiple levels of varying height
• Safe handling of sharp objects including box cutting tools
