Job summary

Texas A&M International University in Laredo, TX seeks a PT Student Teacher Supervisor (COED) to evaluate teacher candidates in local schools and support field-based instruction.

  • Licensing: Texas Education Agency ID, current Texas Teaching Certification, active T-TESS appraiser certification.

Job Summary

The Student Teacher Supervisor under general supervision is responsible for evaluating the performance of teacher candidates in the assigned schools in local and surrounding communities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Evaluating the performance of teacher candidates in the classroom setting of local and surrounding areas.
  • Completing a minimum of four, formal classroom evaluations.
  • Developing model lessons as needed.
  • Participating in and/or conducting seminars.
  • Attending department or College meetings required by the Department, Chair or Dean.

Minimum Requirements
  • Education – Master’s degree in an education related discipline.
  • Experience – Five years of experience in classroom teaching and/or non-teaching administrative position.
  • Current certification in the class in which supervision – currently seeking educational diagnostician, principal or school counseling.

Licensing / Professional Certification

Texas Education Agency ID number, Current Texas Teaching Certification, active certification as a Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) appraiser

Pay of Rate

$16.00/hour for up to 19 hours weekly
