Qualifications

• Two years of interpreting experience in post-secondary education required.
• Must maintain professional competence by attending continuing education classes.
• Adheres to RID Code of Ethics for Sign Language Interpreters.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates effective communication for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing.
• Provides sign-language interpreting/transliteration in various settings.
• Educates faculty and staff about disability policies, laws, and regulations.

Skills

Knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL)

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Education
