Positive Alternatives in Menomonie, WI is seeking a part-time Property Maintenance Worker to oversee all maintenance needs at the Menomonie Group Home. Expect 5-8 hours per week with varied daily tasks.

You will manage capital projects, perform routine repairs, coordinate with contractors, complete inspections, and keep accurate records. A valid driver’s license and ability to travel weekly are required; starting wage is $30.00 per hour with a flexible schedule and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED completed.
• At least three years of maintenance experience or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to locations weekly.

Responsibilities

• Oversee capital projects: obtain quotes, schedule, coordinate with contractors and vendors.
• Perform general building maintenance and repairs on walls, doors, windows, and building systems.
• Complete minor carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and flooring work.
• Coordinate seasonal maintenance such as lawn care and snow plowing.
• Assist with vehicle maintenance and servicing.
• Conduct monthly/annual maintenance and security inspections.
• Maintain accurate records of hours, invoices, warranties, licenses, inspections, and service agreements.
• Respond to facility emergencies as needed.
• Take on additional duties as assigned.

The part-time Property Maintenance Worker is responsible for oversight of all maintenance needs of the Positive Alternatives - Menomonie Group Home. No two days will be the same! This position will work approximately 5-8 hours per week!

Some of your responsibilities as Property Maintenance Worker will include:

• Managing and overseeing all aspects of capital projects, such as procuring quotes, scheduling projects, coordinating work with contractors and outside vendors, and keeping the Positive Alternatives Leadership Team informed of activities that affect this location.
• Completing general building maintenance such as routine maintenance; repairing damage to walls, doors, and windows; and arranging for upkeep for building utility systems.
• Completing minor projects involving carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and flooring.
• Coordinating and overseeing seasonal maintenance needs such as lawn care and snowplowing.
• Assist with maintaining vehicle maintenance needs.
• Completing monthly and annual building maintenance and security inspections.
• Maintaining accurate and timely record keeping of hours, receipts, invoices, warranties, licenses, inspections, and service agreements.
• Responding to facility emergency situations as necessary.
• Additional duties and projects as assigned.

Some of the skills and experience we are looking for from you:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Three years of maintenance and/or related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to diagnose problems, provide solutions, and make recommendations related to building and facilities maintenance
• Ability to complete basic carpentry and general construction projects
• Ability to complete basic plumbing and electrical projects
• Ability to and comfortability driving to various locations as a part of weekly responsibilities
• Hold a valid driver’s license
