Job summary

Positive Alternatives - Menomonie Group Home is seeking a part-time Property Maintenance Worker to oversee all maintenance needs of the facility. The role involves carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and coordinating with contractors.

You will perform routine maintenance, inspections, keep records, and respond to emergencies. Must have a GED or high school diploma, 3 years maintenance experience, a valid driver's license, and can travel to different locations as needed.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required
• Three years of maintenance or related experience
• Ability to diagnose problems and provide solutions related to building and facilities maintenance
• Ability to perform basic carpentry and general construction
• Ability to perform basic plumbing and electrical work
• Hold a valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Oversee all capital projects: obtain quotes, schedule, coordinate with contractors and keep leadership informed
• Perform general building maintenance and repairs to walls, doors, windows, and utilities
• Complete minor carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and flooring projects
• Coordinate seasonal maintenance such as lawn care and snow plowing
• Assist with vehicle maintenance needs
• Complete monthly and annual maintenance and security inspections
• Maintain accurate records of hours, receipts, invoices, warranties, licenses, inspections, and service agreements
• Respond to facility emergencies as needed
• Additional duties as assigned

The part-time Property Maintenance Worker is responsible for oversight of all maintenance needs of the Positive Alternatives - Menomonie Group Home. No two days will be the same! This position will work approximately 5-8 hours per week!

Some of your responsibilities as Property Maintenance Worker will include :

• Managing and overseeing all aspects of capital projects, such as procuring quotes, scheduling projects, coordinating work with contractors and outside vendors, and keeping the Positive Alternatives Leadership Team informed of activities that affect this location.
• Completing general building maintenance such as routine maintenance; repairing damage to walls, doors, and windows; and arranging for upkeep for building utility systems.
• Completing minor projects involving carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and flooring.
• Coordinating and overseeing seasonal maintenance needs such as lawn care and snowplowing.
• Assist with maintaining vehicle maintenance needs.
• Completing monthly and annual building maintenance and security inspections.
• Maintaining accurate and timely record keeping of hours, receipts, invoices, warranties, licenses, inspections, and service agreements.
• Responding to facility emergency situations as necessary.
• Additional duties and projects as assigned.
  

Some of the skills and experience we are looking for from you:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Three years of maintenance and/or related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to diagnose problems, provide solutions, and make recommendations related to building and facilities maintenance
• Ability to complete basic carpentry and general construction projects
• Ability to complete basic plumbing and electrical projects
• Ability to and comfortability driving to various locations as a part of weekly responsibilities
• Hold a valid driver’s license

• Starting at $30.00/hour
• Part-time, flexible schedule (5-8 hours per week)
