Job description

Under limited supervision, performs administrative work in planning, scheduling, and supervising the operations of an outdoor pool and lifeguard staff. Teaches swim lessons and works/assists with LCPR swim team head coach.

Work involves implementing pool operations and daily maintenance functions following Department of Health and Environmental Control rules and regulations, as well as any other duties as required by the Director and/or Assistant Director. Reports to the Parks and Recreation Director or Assistant Director.

Requires an Associate’s degree in a related field, plus two to three years of related work experience; or other equivalent combination of education and experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, which provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities. Recommends having and maintaining American Red Cross Lifeguarding and First Aid/AED Certification.
