An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Pool Supervisor to manage outdoor pool operations and lifeguard staff. This role involves teaching swim lessons and assisting with the swim team, ensuring compliance with health regulations, and maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons. The ideal candidate will have an Associate's degree and relevant experience, along with certifications in lifeguarding and first aid. Under limited supervision, performs administrative work in planning, scheduling, and supervising the operations of an outdoor pool and lifeguard staff. Teaches swim lessons and works/assists with LCPR swim team head coach.
Work involves implementing pool operations and daily maintenance functions following Department of Health and Environmental Control rules and regulations, as well as any other duties as required by the Director and/or Assistant Director. Reports to the Parks and Recreation Director or Assistant Director.
Requires an Associate’s degree in a related field, plus two to three years of related work experience; or other equivalent combination of education and experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, which provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities. Recommends having and maintaining American Red Cross Lifeguarding and First Aid/AED Certification.
