Job summary

An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Lifeguard to ensure the safety of pool patrons while enforcing regulations and providing swimming instruction. Qualifications

• Certified Red Cross Lifeguard with CPR certification required.
• Experience in lifeguarding is a plus.

Job description

Under occasional supervision, enforces pool rules and regulations and supervises pool use for the safety of the general public. Performs rescue and/or cardio-pulmonary resuscitation as needed in emergency situations. Assists with pool operations, chemical applications for water quality, and general cleanliness of the facility.

Performs general housekeeping duties such as emptying garbage, cleaning bathrooms, cleaning deck area, cleaning around the pool, and cleaning the pool. Teaches swimming lessons. Answers the telephone and takes messages. Performs other related work as required. Reports to the Pool Manager.

Minimum Requirements

1. Must be a certified Red Cross Lifeguard.
2. Must have and maintain cardio-pulmonary resuscitation certification and Red Cross Lifeguard certification. Certifications will be scheduled and paid for by LCPR if agreement is satisfied.
3. Must have a valid SC Driver’s License.
4. Past experience in Lifeguarding is a plus.
