Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a Physical Therapist for PRN day shifts to help patients heal at home. This is one of the nation's leading home health and hospice providers, offering flexibility, purpose and growth.

You will assess movement, provide interventions, conduct reexaminations, and discharge planning, with support for licensed therapists.

Competitive pay ranges from $45 to $60 per hour, with comprehensive benefits including medical plans, PTO, 401(k) and wellness programs.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy in the assigned state.
• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy program per CAPTE.
• One year PT experience in home health or related field; mentoring if less than one year.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Help patients maintain, restore and improve movement, activity and function.
• Provide interventions, conduct reexaminations every 30 days minimum, adjust as needed.
• Perform discharge planning and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for helping patients maintain, restore and improve movement, activity and function.
• Provides interventions, conducts reexaminations (every 30 days, at minimum), modifies interventions as necessary, and performs discharge planning.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy specific to the state you're assigned to work in.
• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy educational program as set by the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• One year related physical therapy experience for PTs entering home health care to ensure that knowledge and skills are sufficient to safely provide physical therapy services to patients.
• If less than one year of experience, approval from regional clinical leaders is required as well as appropriate mentoring and/or participating in a residency program.
• Current CPR certification.
