GC - Pharmacy (1036781)Primary Purpose
The primary purpose of this position is to fill prescriptions, help customers, unpack totes, answer telephone calls, and respond to questions within specified limits.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Review work schedule, check equipment, and fill supplies at shift start, ensuring compliance with PPE requirements.
- Move, open, and unpack incoming totes and place items on appropriate shelves.
- Clean shelving, check inventory levels, and inspect products for expiration dates.
- Help customers and answer telephone calls.
- Verify identification of customers for products when required.
- Complete the prescription filling process, including data entry and product dispensing.
Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Meet state required minimum age.
- Successfully complete background check and drug screening.
- Read, write, and communicate in a manner that satisfies job duties and company policies.
- Complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 60 days.
- Meet ergonomic and physical requirements and physical base scores for this position.
- Use or learn to use equipment and tools associated with the job.
- Perform all job functions safely.
- Meet company performance standards.
- Agree to wear approved clothing and shoes.
- Maintain valid specialty licenses, certificates, or permits required.
Physical Requirements
- Shift hours: minimum 4‑hour shifts or more depending on business needs.
- Job cycles: continual max.
- Lift/carry: up to 50 lbs.
- Stand: 55%, sit 0%, walk 45%.
- Category IV: lifting, carrying, P/P up to 50 lbs.
- Max pull static: 20 lbs.
Preferred Requirements
- Understand company policy and procedures in the policy and employee manual.
- Follow all state and federal laws, including pharmacy rules and standards.
- Know MSDS information about all materials used during work.
- Complete Lockout/Tagout training.
- Complete Confined Space training.
- Complete Right-to-Know training.
- Complete HIPAA for Pharmacy Associates training.
- Complete all additional pharmacy training requirements.
