Position Summary
The Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing of medications while delivering exceptional patient care in a retail pharmacy setting. This role provides prescription verification, medication counseling, immunization services, and support for health and wellness initiatives.
The Pharmacist works closely with pharmacy technicians, store leadership, and healthcare providers to maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, uphold company standards, and promote a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and verify prescriptions, preventing drug interactions.
- Oversee pharmacy workflow and maintain accurate records.
- Resolve insurance issues and support reimbursement processes.
- Engage in patient education, medication therapy management, and support vaccination and clinical service programs.

- Operational Excellence & Workflow Management: Support daily pharmacy operations, prescription fulfillment, and quality controls; optimize processes for efficiency, accuracy, and service levels.
- Patient Care & Customer Service: Provide expert counseling, MTM services, and immunization support; handle escalations and ensure high levels of patient satisfaction; build strong relationships with patients and healthcare providers.
What You Will Bring
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of employment.
- Immunization certification (e.g., APhA or state‑recognized equivalent).
- Medication Therapy Management (MTM) certification where applicable.
- 2–5+ years of retail pharmacy experience.
- Knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations, HIPAA, and controlled substance laws.
- Familiarity with third‑party insurance processing and reimbursement practices.
Salary
Salary range is between $49.00 – $61.25 per hour.
