Job summary

CUMULUS MEDIA in Dallas is seeking a News Host to join WBAP/KLIF. The ideal candidate will write and voice news stories, handle on-air duties, and work in a fast-paced newsroom.

The role requires experience in radio news or journalism, proficiency with digital audio editing, and strong writing and communication skills. Some overnight or early morning shifts and occasional anchoring may be required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in radio news or website journalism
• Familiarity with digital audio editing software required
• Experience with long-form, breaking, non-scripted, weather coverage is vital
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
• Great team player

Responsibilities

• Write and voice news stories including outside of the newsroom
• Write news stories for the station websites
• Post new stories on social media
• Handles emergency news/weather in show; on call for weather disasters/breaking news
• Individual will perform various news duties as needed, with the potential of working overnight or early morning hours, and some anchoring as necessary
