Job summary

Midland College in Midland, Texas, seeks a Lab Assistant for the Automotive Lab in the Natural Gas Compression program. Under the direction of the Department Chair, you will test, clean, and maintain equipment, assist with setups and demonstrations, and support instructors and students in the lab.

This role requires a high school diploma, basic knowledge of shop tools and safety practices, and familiarity with office software.

  • Monitor student activities and progress with course assignments in the lab.
  • Assist students in lab/classroom settings and communicate information verbally.
  • Follow PPE requirements and comply with safety procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

PT LAB ASSISTANT-NATURAL GAS COMPRESSIONMidland College | Midland, TexasJOB SUMMARYUnder the direction of the Department Chair, tests, cleans, and performs routine maintenance on automotive laboratory equipment and assists with setup and breakdown of class and lab demonstrations. Assists instructors in the preparation of instructional materials and in the implementation of learning activities. Assists instructors in the monitoring of student activities and progress with course assignments in the lab. Monitors the use of all laboratory equipment to ensure proper use.
