Job summary

Stocks Office Furniture, a division of Warehouse Direct, is seeking a Part-Time Installer/Technician in Champaign, IL. You will deliver and install commercial furniture, assemble items, inspect deliveries, and coordinate with customers and project managers. On-the-job training provided.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, are dependable, detail-oriented, and able to lift and install furniture. Driver's license required; Class A/B/C a plus.

Qualifications

• Is dependable, adaptable, and willing to learn new skills.

Responsibilities

• Delivering and installing commercial furniture at customer locations according to customer specifications, project plans, and installation drawings.
• Using tools and hands-on skills to assemble and install furniture properly.
• Receiving, unloading, and inspecting furniture and equipment from suppliers.
• Organizing and preparing products in the warehouse for upcoming installations.
• Working directly with customers, sales representatives, and project managers to ensure installations meet expectations.
• Reviewing completed installations and making sure the customer is satisfied with the finished product.

What You'll Do:

As an Installer/Technician, you'll be part of the team that brings our customers' office spaces to life. You'll work with furniture and equipment from the time it arrives at our facility through delivery and final installation. On-the-job training provided!

Your day may include:

• Delivering and installing commercial furniture at customer locations according to customer specifications, project plans, and installation drawings.
• Using tools and hands-on skills to assemble and install furniture properly.
• Receiving, unloading, and inspecting furniture and equipment from suppliers.
• Organizing and preparing products in the warehouse for upcoming installations.
• Working directly with customers, sales representatives, and project managers to ensure installations meet expectations.
• Reviewing completed installations and making sure the customer is satisfied with the finished product.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment at customer locations, the warehouse, and showroom.
• Moving and installing furniture in the showroom when needed.
• Helping maintain company vehicles, including fuel and routine maintenance.
• Assisting with snow removal and general facility maintenance when needed.
