Job summary

Midwest Office Interiors, a division of Warehouse Direct, is seeking a Warehouse Associate / Office Furniture Installer & Delivery Driver in Woodridge, IL. The role blends warehouse duties with on-site delivery and installation of commercial office furniture for regional clients.

The candidate will operate forklifts, load/unload trucks, drive delivery routes, and assemble furniture at client sites, while maintaining inventory and using MS Office for documentation. CDL is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse environments or commercial furniture installation.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and data entry.
• Valid driver's license with clean record; CDL a plus but not required.
• Ability to lift 60+ lbs; bend, kneel, and assemble.
• Comfort with using hand and power tools for modular furniture construction.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift, pallet jack, and hand trucks to load/unload shipments.
• Log and track inventory using internal databases.
• Handle order confirmations and logistics spreadsheets in MS Office.
• Deliver and install office furniture at client sites.
• Review installation layouts and place modular units accurately.
• Provide professional on-site communication with clients.

Salary Range: $19.00 To $22.00 Annually

Midwest Office Interiors, a division of Warehouse Direct, is seeking a dependable and versatile Warehouse Associate / Office Furniture Installer & Delivery Driver to join our team.

In this dynamic role, you will bridge the gap between our warehouse operations and customer-facing deliveries. Your week will be split between safely managing warehouse unloading and loading trucks, operating forklift, driving delivery routes, and professionally assembling and installing commercial office furniture at client sites.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse & Forklift Operations

• Equipment Operation: Safely operate a forklift, pallet jack, and hand trucks to load, unload, and stage incoming shipments.
• Inventory Control: Log, track, and maintain accurate inventory counts using our internal databases.
• Administrative Documentation: Utilize the Microsoft Office platform (Excel, Outlook, Word) to handle order confirmations, track logistics spreadsheets, and reply to client requests.
• Safety & Maintenance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized, and compliant warehouse floor.
• Delivery Driving: Safely load, secure, transport, and unload office furniture deliveries to regional corporate clients.
• On-Site Installation: Review blueprints or installation layout plans to unpack, assemble, and precisely place office modular units, desks, chairs, and cubicle networks.
• Customer Service: Act as a professional brand ambassador on-site, communicating effectively with clients and ensuring high-quality final installations.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience: Proven experience working in a warehouse environment, corporate furniture installation, or commercial moving.
• Tech-Savvy: Proficient with the Microsoft Office platform (basic data entry in Excel, email management via Outlook).
• Licensing: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL is a plus but not required).
• Physical Fitness: Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy objects up to 60+ lbs continuously, alongside frequent bending, kneeling, and assembling.
• Mechanical Aptitude: Comfortable using a variety of hand and power tools required for modular office furniture construction.
