Primary Purpose

Provide fast, easy, flexible and friendly service to our customers through the achievement of Food Lion customer service standards. Responsible for assisting the Food Lion To-Go Lead in maintaining standards according to Food Lion's standard practice manual. Maximize sales through excellent customer service.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Smile, greet each customer, use their name whenever possible, and provide prompt, accurate, and friendly service, engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience.
• Exhibit behaviors that align with Food Lion's guiding principles, core values, vision, and strategy.
• Shop multiple customer orders using designated tools and equipment efficiently.
• Recognize and differentiate between all types of produce carried in the store, including differences between varieties of similar products.
• Substitute items when requested.
• Scan, bag, and label purchases accurately while following company policies.
• Verify customer IDs and observe policies related to alcohol sales.
• Assist customers with order pickups.
• Complete Accountability Form from start to finish.
• Be courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform, including apron and name badge, maintaining a neat appearance and adhering to dress code.
• Control store expenses by managing supplies properly.
• Follow all company guidelines, policies, and standard practices.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions to prevent accidents.
• Notify QA of cleaning issues or equipment maintenance needs.
• Complete Computer Based Training (CBT) and Training Aid courses successfully.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Meet physical requirements of the position, with or without accommodations.

Qualifications
