Primary Purpose

Provide fast, easy, flexible, and friendly service to our customers, aiming to meet Food Lion customer service standards. Assist the Food Lion To-Go Lead in maintaining store standards and maximize sales through excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a smile, using their name when possible, and provide prompt, friendly service to create a positive shopping experience.
• Align behaviors with Food Lion's guiding principles, core values, vision, and strategy.
• Shop multiple customer orders efficiently using designated tools and equipment.
• Recognize and differentiate between various produce types, including similar varieties.
• Substitute items upon request.
• Scan, bag, and label purchases accurately, following company policies.
• Verify customer IDs and adhere to store policies regarding alcohol sales.
• Assist customers with order pickups.
• Complete accountability forms accurately.
• Maintain a courteous and helpful attitude towards colleagues.
• Wear the designated uniform including apron and name badge, and maintain a neat appearance in accordance with dress code.
• Manage store supplies responsibly to control expenses.
• Follow all company policies and safety guidelines.
• Identify and report unsafe conditions.
• Report maintenance issues to QA.
• Complete required training courses.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Meet physical requirements of the role, with or without accommodations.
