The main responsibility of this role involves using various equipment and tools to prepare and serve food, including weighing, slicing, cooking, and serving deli items. The team member must be capable of performing all related tasks and operating all associated equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

• Review work schedule, check equipment and supplies, comply with PPE requirements, and prepare for duties at the start of each shift.
• Prepare sandwiches, subs, roast or fry chicken, heat soups, make pizzas, transfer deli foods, and merchandise as per plan.
• Serve customers, slice meats and cheeses, weigh, wrap, label, and package deli foods.
• Work in the grab-and-go section for lunch meats and cheeses.
• Produce products for the sales floor and hot bar according to SOP and POG.
• Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, tools, equipment, display cases, floors, and counters.
• Track and record loss using known loss tracking (KLT).

Job Tasks:

• Make various deli items, prepare and cook pizzas, assist customers, and handle meat and chicken products.
• Clean equipment and work areas regularly.
• Order products for the smoked program, produce smoked items, and follow SOPs.
• Use cleaning tools and sanitizers to maintain hygiene standards.
• Perform record-keeping and loss tracking functions.

General Rules:

• Report accidents and injuries promptly, follow safety procedures, and wear appropriate PPE.
• Follow company policies, including no running, no horseplay, and understanding emergency procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation, understand MSDS information, and complete required safety training.

Qualifications

• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Ability to communicate effectively and understand safety and company policies.
• Meet ergonomic, physical, and performance standards, including attendance.
• Ability to operate required equipment and tools.

Physical Requirements

• Minimum 4-hour shifts, with job cycles at maximum.
• Lift/carry up to 50 lbs., stand for 55%, walk for 45% of the time.
• Exposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions.

Preferred Requirements

Understanding of company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook and policy manual.
