The primary purpose of this job is to use carts, containers, kitchen utensils, ovens, fryers, roasters, slicers, scales, and cash registers to prepare and serve deli foods, pizzas, chicken, sandwiches, and more.

The team member must be able to perform all tasks and operate all equipment associated with this position.

Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions

• Review work schedule, check equipment and supplies, comply with PPE requirements, and prepare for duties at the start of each shift.
• Make sandwiches, roast or fry chicken, heat soup, prepare pizza, merchandise deli foods, and label products as per plan.
• Serve customers, slice meat or cheese, weigh, wrap, and label orders, and handle deli foods.
• Work in the grab-and-go lunch meat and cheeses section.
• Produce products for the hot bar and sales floor as per SOP and POG.
• Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, tools, equipment, display cases, floors, and counters.
• Track and record loss using known loss tracking (KLT).

Additional Tasks

• Prepare various deli items, operate pizza oven, roast and fry chicken, and maintain equipment hygiene.
• Follow safety rules, report accidents, and use PPE as required.
• Maintain cleanliness, perform record keeping, and assist in product ordering and production.

General Rules

• Report accidents, follow safety procedures, and maintain proper attire.
• Follow emergency procedures, handle equipment safely, and adhere to company policies.
• Complete required training such as Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, and Right-to-Know.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to communicate effectively and meet physical requirements.
• Maintain performance standards, including attendance.

Physical Requirements

• Minimum 4-hour shifts, lift/carry up to 50 lbs., stand for 55%, walk for 45%.
• Work in temperature-varied environments, including freezers and back rooms.

Preferred Requirements

• Understanding of company policies and procedures.
