Job summary

The GIANT Company in Hershey, PA is seeking a team member for the floral department. The primary duties include receiving, stocking, and storing items, making flower arrangements, helping customers, and wrapping plants and flowers.

You will review schedules, handle inventory with the floral team, and maintain a clean, organized cooler. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. and able to meet physical requirements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Promptly, at the start of the shift, the team member will review the work schedule, check the equipment and supplies required to perform the work scheduled, comply with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, and otherwise prepare for duties.
• Use a U-boat to get inventory from receiving and put inventory into floral cooler.
• Make arrangements, help customers, wrap flowers and plants, and inflate balloons as required.
• Keep the department and cooler clean.
• Track and record loss.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate to complete job duties in a satisfactory manner and to comply with company policies and safety regulations.
• Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 60 days.
• Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position.
• Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
• Must be able to perform all job functions safely.
• Must meet the company performance standards for the job.
• Must meet the company performance standards for the job including but not limited to regular attendance.
• Must agree to wear the proper assigned clothes and shoes approved for this job.
• Must have 1 year of work experience or technical training (this is a job specific requirement).
• Must have keyboard skills.

JOB SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have and maintain valid specialty licenses, certificates, or permits required for the position.
