Job summary

The GIANT Company is Hiring for a floral team member in Quarryville, PA. The role focuses on receiving, storing, stocking items, making flower arrangements, helping customers, and wrapping plants and flowers.

You will work in a fast-paced grocery environment with a focus on accuracy, organization, and customer care. As part of the team, you will support store operations, maintain clean work areas, and ensure safety and policy compliance.

Responsibilities

• Review the work schedule and prepare equipment and supplies at the start of the shift.
• Use a U-boat to retrieve inventory from receiving and place inventory into the floral cooler.
• Make flower arrangements, assist customers, wrap flowers and plants, and inflate balloons as needed.
• Keep the department and floral cooler clean and organized.
• Track and record loss as part of loss prevention.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Promptly, at the start of the shift, the team member will review the work schedule, check the equipment and supplies required to perform the work scheduled, comply with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, and otherwise prepare for duties.
• Use a U-boat to get inventory from receiving and put inventory into floral cooler.
• Make arrangements, help customers, wrap flowers and plants, and inflate balloons as required.
• Keep the department and cooler clean.
• Track and record loss.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate to complete job duties in a satisfactory manner and to comply with company policies and safety regulations.
• Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 60 days.
• Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position.
• Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
• Must be able to perform all job functions safely.
• Must meet the company performance standards for the job.
• Must meet the company performance standards for the job including but not limited to regular attendance.
• Must agree to wear the proper assigned clothes and shoes approved for this job.
• Must have 1 year of work experience or technical training (this is a job specific requirement).

JOB SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have and maintain valid specialty licenses, certificates, or permits required for the position.
