Job summary

The GIANT Company is seeking a Floral Associate for our Mechanicsburg, PA store. The role involves receiving, storing, stocking items, making flower arrangements, helping customers, and wrapping plants and flowers.

You will work as part of a team to maintain a well-organized floral department, assist guests, and ensure high standards for cleanliness and inventory accuracy at the store location.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate to complete job duties and comply with policies.
• Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 60 days.
• Must meet ergonomic and physical requirements and pass base scores for this position.
• Must be able to use or learn to use equipment and tools for this job.
• Must perform all job functions safely and meet performance standards including regular attendance.
• Must have 1 year of work experience or technical training.
• Must have keyboard skills.

Responsibilities

• Review the work schedule at the start of the shift and prepare required equipment and supplies.
• Use a U-boat to retrieve inventory from receiving and place into floral cooler.
• Make arrangements, help customers, wrap flowers and plants, inflate balloons as needed.
• Keep the department and cooler clean.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Promptly, at the start of the shift, the team member will review the work schedule, check the equipment and supplies required to perform the work scheduled, comply with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, and otherwise prepare for duties.
• Use a U-boat to get inventory from receiving and put inventory into floral cooler.
• Make arrangements, help customers, wrap flowers and plants, and inflate balloons as required.
• Keep the department and cooler clean.
• Track and record loss.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate to complete job duties in a satisfactory manner and to comply with company policies and safety regulations.
• Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 60 days.
• Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position.
• Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
• Must be able to perform all job functions safely.

• Must have and maintain valid specialty licenses, certificates, or permits required for the position.
