Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, glassware, and kitchen items using dish machines or by hand.
• Clean work area, including floors and equipment.
• Ensure sanitizer levels meet health standards.
• Remove trash from the dish room and clean the area.
• Keeps all kitchen wares storage areas clean and orderly.
• Removes trash and transports to dumpster; cleans garbage cans.
• Performs other duties as assigned, including Food & Beverage duties if applicable.
• Follows Executive Chef/Sous Chef opening and closing procedures.
• Keeps work area and equipment neat and clean.

• Places clean dishes, utensils and cooking equipment in storage areas
• Cleans work area including equipment, floors, walls and cooking area
• Ensures that all levels for sanitizer on dish machine and pot sinks are at specific requirements for health standards
• Keeps all kitchen wares storage areas clean and orderly
• Removes trash from dish room and transports to dumpster and cleans and sanitizes garbage cans
• Performs other duties as assigned Food & Beverage duties (if applicable)
• Follows Executive Chef/Sous Chef assignments for opening and closing procedures
• Keeps work area and equipment neat and clean

• Hazards include, but are not limited to, cuts from broken glass, metal cans, scalds and burns, slipping and tripping
• Frequently immerses hands in water; works frequently in a hot and damp environment

Grand Rapids Complex (Van Andel Arena, Acrisure Amphitheater, Amway Stadium) in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility to stand for long hours during events; talk and hear. This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events. This position requires minimal stooping and lifting, substantial standing; walking and manual dexterity to operate office equipment such as a computer is required.
