Job summary

Planet Fitness in Norristown, PA is hiring a part-time Customer Service Representative starting at $11 per hour. The role includes greeting members, answering calls, sign-ups and tours, handling purchases, and promoting fitness classes in a friendly, welcoming environment.

You will support a clean, safe club and assist guests with questions while earning hourly raises at set intervals and benefiting from a growth-oriented team culture.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Basic computer proficiency expected.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones in a friendly manner using information script.
• Greet members, sign up and tour new members, and log amenities.
• Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Process beverage or merchandise purchases through the point of sale system.
• Promote our fitness instruction classes (PE@PF) to active and new members.
• Provide a clean, sanitized, and safe club environment.

Friday-Sunday Closing

Hourly increases at 180 days, 1 year and every 6 months, after the first year, based on anniversary date.

Customer Service Representative Responsibilities:

Responsible for providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members and guests, ensuring an exceptional Judgement Free member experience.

• Answer phones in a friendly manner using information script
• Greet members, sign up and tour new members, and log amenities.
• Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner
• Process beverage or merchandise purchases through the point of sale system
• Promote our unique fitness instruction classes (PE@PF) to our active members and our new members
• Provide a clean, sanitized and safe club environment.

Qualifications: Job Requirements:

• Customer service experience
• High school diploma/GED equivalent preferred
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Basic computer proficiency

Physical Demands:

• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Will encounter cleaning chemicals during shift
• Frequent climbing, balancing, kneeling and crouching during shift
• Continual reaching with hands/fingers/arms during shift
