**City of La Habra - Human Resources Clerk (Limited-Term)**

The City of La Habra, located in northwest Orange County, covers 7.3 square miles with a population of approximately 62,850. Position Overview

Under the direction of the department manager, this limited-term position provides clerical support to the Human Resources department for approximately 6 months or until project completion. Responsibilities include maintaining personnel and claims files, processing confidential documents, assisting with records management, and performing routine office duties.

Qualifications
  • General knowledge of local government laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in office operations and English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
  • Experience with record keeping and computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and provide excellent customer service.
  • Ability to work independently with attention to detail.
Additional Requirements
  • Six months of office experience preferred.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office applications effectively.
  • Availability to work Monday through Thursday, 12:30 PM to 6:00 PM.
  • Position is part-time, approximately 20-22 hours per week, for a limited duration.
Benefits
  • Participation in the City’s deferred compensation 457 plan.
  • Paid sick leave after 90 days, with a maximum of 40 hours annually.
