Job summary

Ellis Home & Garden in Beaumont, TX is seeking a Cashier/Sales Associate to help operate our store daily and provide friendly, knowledgeable service to customers. This is a family-owned business offering a flexible schedule and a welcoming atmosphere.

Typical duties include greeting customers, processing transactions, assisting on the sales floor, stocking merchandise, and maintaining pricing accuracy. Must be 18+, able to lift 50 lbs, and available nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or GED.
• Some college preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally.
• Able to work in all weather conditions.
• Computer proficiency required.
• Retail point of sale experience preferred.
• Cash handling experience.
• Plant knowledge preferred, but not required (training provided).
• Must be available Nights & Weekends.
• Must be 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and process transactions accurately.
• Answer phone calls and assist with customer inquiries.
• Help customers on the sales floor, stock & price merchandise.
• Perform other duties as assigned by store management.

Job Summary

Ellis Home & Garden in Beaumont, TX is now accepting applications for Cashiers/Sales Associate position. These positions will help operate our store on a day-to-day basis. Ellis Home & Garden is a family-owned and operated business that offers flexible scheduling, a family-oriented atmosphere, and a great working environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

Cashiers will be the face of the company and usually the first person that our customers see when they come to our store. Cashiers are responsible for greeting customers, processing transactions accurately, answering phone calls, and any other assigned duties. The Sales Associate will be responsible for helping customers on our sales floor, stocking & pricing merchandise, along with other assigned duties.

Qualifications and Skills

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Some college preferred
• Lifting 50+/- pounds periodically
• Comfortable working in all weather conditions periodically
• Computer proficiency required
• Retail point of sale experience preferred
• Cash handling experience
• Plant knowledge preferred, but not required (we will train you!)
• Must be available Nights & Weekends
• Must be 18 years of age
• Pay starting $12.00 per hour
