Primary Purpose

This role involves scanning and entering numbers on registers, lifting and moving goods, making change, bagging orders, and handling special projects such as restocking, replenishing front-end items (candy, gift cards, snacks), cleaning, and assisting with carts.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Review work schedule, check equipment and supplies, comply with PPE requirements, and prepare for duties at the start of each shift.
2. Block aisles, set up checkout areas, and displays as needed.
3. Provide exceptional customer service.
4. Count items, handle transactions, and give change.
5. Bag items and place bags into carts when necessary.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to communicate effectively and understand company policies and safety regulations.
• Meet ergonomic and physical requirements, with or without accommodations.
• Willing to learn to use necessary equipment and tools.
• Complete the company’s introductory (probationary) period of 30 or 60 days.
• Perform all job functions safely and meet performance standards, including attendance.
• Wear proper, approved attire and footwear.
• Possess relevant technical training.

Physical Requirements

• Shift hours: minimum 4-hour shifts or more based on business needs.
• Job involves continuous activity with maximum effort.
• Lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
• Stand for 55%, sit 0%, walk for 45% of the shift.
• Category IV physical activity: lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.
• Maximum pull static force: 20 lbs.

Team members should understand and adhere to company policies and procedures as outlined in the policy manual and employee handbook.

Compensation

Salary ranges from $15.00 to $18.00 hourly.
