Primary Purpose

The main responsibilities include scanning and entering numbers at the register, lifting and moving goods, making change, bagging orders, and handling special projects such as restocking, replenishing front-end items (candy, gift cards, snacks), cleaning, and assisting with carts.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Review work schedule, check equipment and supplies, comply with PPE requirements, and prepare for duties at shift start.
2. Block aisles, set up checkout areas, and displays as needed.
3. Provide exceptional customer service.
4. Tally items, handle transactions, and give change.
5. Bag items and place bags into carts as necessary.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to communicate effectively and understand company policies and safety regulations.
• Meet ergonomic and physical requirements, with or without accommodations.
• Ability to learn and use required equipment and tools.
• Complete the company's introductory (probationary) period of 30 or 60 days.
• Perform all job functions safely and meet performance standards, including attendance.
• Wear proper, approved clothing and shoes for the job.
• Possess necessary technical training specific to the role.

Physical Requirements

• Shift hours: minimum 4-hour shifts, variable based on needs.
• Job involves continual activity.
• Lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
• Stand approximately 55%, walk 45%; sit 0%.
• Category IV: lifting, carrying, P/P up to 50 lbs.
• Max pull static: 20 lbs.
