Primary Purpose
The primary purpose of this job is to scan and/or enter numbers on register, lift and move goods, make change, bag orders, and perform special projects such as restocking, returns, replenishment of front-end items (candy, gift cards, snacks), cleaning, and assisting with carts.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Review the work schedule, check equipment and supplies, comply with PPE requirements, and prepare for duties at the start of each shift.
• Block aisles, set up checkout areas, and displays as needed.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Count items, handle transactions, and give change.
• Bag items and place bags into carts as necessary.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to communicate effectively and understand company policies and safety regulations.
• Meet ergonomic and physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Be able to learn and use the necessary equipment and tools.
• Complete the company’s introductory (probationary) period of 30 or 60 days.
• Perform all job functions safely.
• Meet performance standards, including attendance.
• Wear proper clothing and shoes approved for the job.
• Possess necessary technical training specific to the role.

Physical Requirements

• Minimum shift: 4 hours, depending on business needs.
• Job involves continual movement.
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Stand for approximately 55% of the time, walk for 45%.
• Category IV physical activity: lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.
• Maximum static pull: 20 lbs.

• Understanding of company policies and procedures as outlined in the manual and handbook.
