Primary Purpose

The primary purpose of this job is to scan and/or enter numbers on the register, lift and move goods, make change, bag orders, and assist with special projects such as restocking, replenishing front-end items (candy, gift cards, snacks), cleaning, and helping with carts.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Review work schedule, check equipment and supplies, and prepare for duties at shift start.
2. Set up checkout areas, displays, and block aisles as needed.
3. Provide exceptional customer service.
4. Count items, handle money, and give change.
5. Bag items and place bags into carts when necessary.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to communicate effectively and understand safety policies.
• Meet ergonomic and physical requirements, with or without accommodations.
• Willing to learn to use necessary equipment and tools.
• Complete the company's probationary period (30 or 60 days).
• Perform all job functions safely and meet performance standards, including attendance.
• Wear proper work attire as approved.
• Possess relevant technical training.

Physical Requirements

• Minimum shift: 4 hours, depending on business needs.
• Lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
• Stand for 55% of shift, walk 45%.
• Max pull static: 20 lbs.

Preferred Requirements

• Understanding of company policies and procedures.
