DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Maintain a neat and professional appearance.
• Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
• Support training of new associates.
• Ensure effective communication within the department and organization.
• Adhere to management plans to maintain productivity.
• Support safety standards; report equipment issues; keep work area safe and clean.
• Treat all colleagues with fairness and respect.
• Develop product knowledge in bakery items such as breads, desserts, cakes, muffins, bagels, coffees, and platters.
• Maintain sanitation and food safety standards.
• Prepare, proof, and bake bakery products as assigned.
• Perform additional duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Physical Requirements

• Perform repetitive hand and arm motions; stand and walk for most of the shift.
• Lift up to 30 lbs. regularly and 40 lbs. occasionally.
• Reach overhead and to shoulder level as needed.
• Work in hot or cold environments for short periods.
• Operate controls and handle food and cleaning substances safely.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

• Provide excellent customer service and assist customers with product selection.
• Package and display products per standards and customer needs.
• Manage bakery loads and replenish merchandise.
• Maintain accurate records of production, sales, and inventory.
• Clean and sanitize equipment regularly.
• Decorate cakes and personalize products as needed.
• Meet physical demands of the job, with accommodations if necessary.

Salary range: $15.50 - $22.30 per hour.
