General Summary

As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and assisting the Store Manager in daily operations. This includes maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
  • Greeting and assisting customers positively, resolving inquiries and concerns.
  • Maintaining a clean, well-stocked store and providing excellent customer service.
  • Supervising, training, and developing Store Associates under the Store Manager's guidance.
  • Unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring items from stockroom to store.
  • Assisting in ordering merchandise, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
  • Supporting loss prevention efforts.
  • Taking on management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Following all company policies and procedures.
Position Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to interpret operational directives.
  • Retail management experience preferred.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly and meet demands of store activities.
  • Flexible full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Skills: Customer Focus, Developing Potential, Results-Driven, Organizational, Communication, Problem Solving, Job Knowledge, Relationship Management.
