Job summary

United Zion Retirement Community is seeking a friendly part-time Barista to create a warm dining experience for residents and guests. You will prepare and serve coffee, beverages, and light meals while delivering exceptional customer service tailored to residents.

Requirements include a high school diploma, prior food service or hospitality experience, knowledge of safe food handling (Serve-Safe, HACCP), basic computer skills, and the ability to work weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or as a barista/server.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge of safe food handling, sanitation-, Serve-Safe-, HAACP standards, and infection control.
• Basic computer skills, customer service, and familiarity with therapeutic diets.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Preferred: Experience in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality.
• Food Handler’s Certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• PR/First Aid certification is a plus.
