Job summary

Brenau University seeks a PsyD Faculty Member to teach core PsyD courses at the Gainesville campus and to chair theses/dissertations for PsyD students. The role is based in Gainesville, GA, with regular campus duties and collaboration across the Lynn J. Darby School of Psychology and Adolescent Counseling.

The candidate will join a full-time faculty team, teach 27 credits annually, supervise clinical work, and contribute to program development. Licensing and teaching experience are valued assets.

Qualifications

• PhD/PsyD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology or a related field is required.
• Licensed as Psychologist in Georgia or current state license is required.
• Preferred three years of higher education teaching experience.
• Preferred experience chairing graduate theses/dissertations.
• Preferred three years of experience conducting formalized clinical assessments.
• Preferred three years of experience providing clinical supervision.
• Preferred interest in neuropsychology or child/adolescent psychology.

Responsibilities

• Teach a course load of 27 credits per year across PsyD foundation, assessment, neuropsychology, child/adolescent concentration, supervision, and dissertation courses.
• Serve as assessment coordinator for the PsyD program.
• Possible release time to serve as grant writer/coordinator for the Darby School of Psychology & Adolescent Counseling.
• Advise doctoral students as assigned.
• Participate in committee work as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned by PsyD Coordinator or Chair.
