Job summary

The Department of Psychological Science at the University of North Georgia invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor position beginning Spring 2027. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses including PSYC 3150, PSYC 3310, Quantitative Methods, and other upper-division courses, on both Gainesville and Dahlonega campuses.

Responsibilities include scholarly activity with applied emphasis, mentoring undergraduate research, advising, and service

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Social Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, or closely related field.
• Evidence of effective undergraduate teaching.
• Strong record or potential for peer-reviewed scholarship.
• Commitment to involving undergraduates in research.

Responsibilities

• Teach a 4/4 undergraduate load, face-to-face, on Gainesville and Dahlonega Campuses.
• Engage in scholarly activity with applied research.
• Supervise and mentor undergraduate research projects.
• Advise and engage with students to support success.
• Attend department meetings and hold office hours.
