Job summary

Brenau University’s Gainesville campus seeks a faculty member for the Psy.D. program in the Lynn J. Darby School of Psychology and Adolescent Counseling. The role includes teaching, supervising dissertations, and coordinating program assessments.

The position is based on the Gainesville campus, with eligibility for travel between campuses as needed. Doctoral degree in psychology and Georgia licensure are required, with preferred graduate teaching and supervision experience.

Qualifications

• PhD/PsyD in clinical or counseling psychology or related field.
• Licensed as Psychologist in Georgia or current state.
• Preferred three years of higher education teaching experience.
• Preferred experience chairing graduate thesis/dissertation projects.
• Preferred three years of experience conducting formalized clinical assessments.
• Preferred three years of experience providing clinical supervision.
• Preferred interest in neuropsychology or child/adolescent psychology.

Responsibilities

• Teach a course load of 27 credits per year, covering Psy.D. foundation, assessment, neuropsychology, child/adolescent, supervision, and dissertation courses; may work on grant applications.
• Serve as assessment coordinator for the PsyD program.
• Possible release to serve as grant writer/coordinator for the Darby School of Psychology & Adolescent Counseling.
• Serve as advisor for doctoral students, as assigned.
• Committee work as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned by PsyD Coordinator or Chair.
