Job summary

HCO Behavioral Health seeks a Mental Health Specialist/Professional to render psychosocial rehabilitation services to adolescents and adults in our Louisiana program. You will help clients set treatment goals, develop daily living and social skills, and establish community supports to improve functioning in home, work, and school environments.

You will provide crisis intervention when needed, document all services within 24 hours, and participate in team-based service planning and improving care

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Rehabilitation Services, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Secondary Education, Family and Consumer Sciences, or Human Growth and Development.
• 21 years of age or older. Valid Louisiana driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Render PSR services to adolescent and adult clients.
• Assist clients in developing treatment goals.
• Develop social, interpersonal, and daily living skills.
• Identify and utilize community resources and support networks.
• Provide crisis intervention to ensure safety.
• Document services within 24 hours of delivery.
• Attend meetings, trainings, and supervision as required.
• Collaborate with team for service planning and coordination.
