Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Rehabilitation Services, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Secondary Education, Family and Consumer Sciences, or Human Growth and Development.
• Bachelor's or Master's with a minor in Counseling, Social Work, Sociology, or Psychology.
• Be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Louisiana Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Render PSR services to adolescent and adult clients.
• Assist clients in developing treatment goals.
• Help restore and develop social and interpersonal skills.
• Identify and establish support networks and coping strategies.
• Improve functioning in home, work, and school environments.
• Assist in developing daily living skills.
• Support self-management of psychiatric or emotional symptoms.
• Identify triggers and respond to prevent impairments.
• Provide crisis intervention to ensure safety.
• Develop, sign, and date service documentation within 24 hours.
• Attend meetings, trainings, and supervision sessions.
• Be a team member for service planning and coordination.
• Participate in Performance Improvement initiatives.
• Communicate with clinical/administrative staff on client concerns.
• Assess recipient status in relation to rehabilitation.
• Identify and schedule weekly community resources.
