Job summary

Saba Health Care is seeking a California Terrace Psychosocial Assistant (PSA) to join our clinical team. The PSA will record resident data, organize life skills groups, and provide emotional support to residents within a collaborative care setting.

The role requires 18+, strong communication, and weekend availability, with EMR experience and familiarity with long-term care environments. Working hours are 12:00 pm–8:00 pm, supporting residents across daily activities.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Team Player with Exceptional Communication Skills.
• Must be able to work every other weekend.
• Intermediate computer skills and experience with EMR.
• Experience in Long-Term Care beneficial.
• Must be able to work 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Responsibilities

• Record and maintain resident information (eating habits, behaviors, participation, notes, and treatment).
• Conduct weekly life skills group.
• Listen and provide emotional support and encouragement to residents.
• Encourage residents during therapeutic activities.
• Complete physical checks and monitor residents; report observations to PRSC/Director of Social Services.
• Be a team player and work with PRSCs and nurses.
• Confer with other professionals to plan resident care.
• Organize or encourage resident participation in social, educational, and residents’ care.

Psychosocial Assistant (PSA) Job Responsibilities:

• Record and maintain resident information, such as eating habits, behaviors, participation with care and activities, progress notes, and treatment.
• Conduct weekly life skills group.
• Listen and provide emotional support and encouragement to residents.
• Encourage residents during therapeutic activities.
• Complete physical checks and monitor residents to detect unusual or harmful behavior and report observations to PRSC and/ Director of Social Services.
• Be a team player and work as part of a team that will include PRSCs, nurses, and etc.
• Confer with other professionals to plan resident care.
• Organize, supervise, or encourage resident participation in social, educational, and residents’ care.

Psychosocial Assistant (PSA) Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Team Player with Exceptional Communication Skills
• Must be able to work every other weekend.
• Intermediate Computer Skills and Experience with Electronic Medical Records
• Experience in Long-Term Care benificial
• Must be able to work 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm
