Job summary

Central New Mexico Community College is seeking part-time instructors to provide high-quality psychology instruction across assigned courses. Faculty collaborate with the Dean and colleagues to enhance the student learning experience and support student success and graduation goals.

Hours vary and appointments are made as-needed based on enrollment. Qualified candidates hold a Master’s in Psychology or related fields with substantial psychology coursework; teaching experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree from an accredited institution in Psychology; degrees in related fields may be considered with 18 graduate psychology credits.
• Minimum of two semesters of college instructional experience in psychology OR documented successful completion of a college classroom teacher training.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, teach, grade, and assess student learning in assigned courses.
• Create a quality learning environment for a diverse student population including students with disabilities.
• Maintain student records and provide documentation for in-completes within college timelines.
• Use technology-based programs to access/input information related to student records and processes.
• Assist students with registration, advising, and graduation processes.
• Structure classes and curriculum to align with program and course outcomes.
• Prepare and utilize instructional materials and media as appropriate.
• Convene classes as scheduled and respond to student inquiries.
• Attend necessary in-service and college meetings as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Master's Degree in Psychology

Two semesters of college instructional experience in psychology or teacher training
