Job summary

Central New Mexico Community College (CNM) seeks part-time instructors to teach psychology courses on a rotating, as-needed basis in Albuquerque, NM. Instructors collaborate with the Dean and colleagues to enhance the student learning experience and support CNM’s vision of changing lives and building community.

Qualified candidates have a Master’s in Psychology with prior college level teaching experience, including introductory/developmental psychology, and comfort using diverse teaching

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Two semesters of college instructional experience in psychology OR documented college classroom teacher training.
• Ability to teach in-person classes.
• Experience teaching introductory psychology and/or developmental psychology; experience at a community college.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, teach, grade, and assess student learning in assigned courses.
• Create and maintain a quality learning environment for diverse students.
• Maintain student records and document in institutional timelines.
• Utilize technology-based programs to access/input student data and processes.
• Assist students with registration, advising, and graduation processes.
• Structure courses to align with program outcomes and course outcomes.
