The role supports child, adolescent, adult, and elder care with a focus on culturally responsive, patient-centered care.

The position offers scheduling flexibility with full-time or part-time options, a hybrid work model, and dedicated administrative support to streamline credentialing, billing, and patient flow.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be independently licensed in Virginia or Maryland.
• Licensure in Washington, D.C. is preferred.
• Priority given to clinicians licensed across all jurisdictions.
• Must be local to the DC region.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological evaluations and gather clinical histories.
• Provide evidence-based psychotherapy and other appropriate interventions.
• Develop diagnostic impressions within scope of practice.
• Establish treatment goals, monitor progress, and refer when needed.
• Assess and respond to risks such as suicide or self-harm.
• Maintain accurate and secure clinical records.

Scheduling Flexibility.

• Insurance credentialing, contracting, and authorization

Key Clinical Responsibilities

Psychologist responsibilities include:

• Assessment and diagnosis — Conduct psychological evaluations, gather clinical histories, administer appropriate assessments, and develop diagnostic impressions when within their scope of practice.
• Treatment — Provide evidence-based psychotherapy and other appropriate psychological interventions tailored to clients’ needs.
• Treatment planning — Establish goals with clients, monitor progress, modify treatment when needed, and make referrals when another service is more appropriate.
• Client safety — Assess and respond appropriately to risks such as suicide, self-harm, abuse, violence, or other urgent concerns, following applicable laws and professional standards.
• Documentation — Maintain accurate, timely, and secure clinical records, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and relevant communications.
• Other responsibilities as required

Required Qualifications

• Candidates must be independently licensed in Virginia or Maryland. Licensure in Washington, D.C. is preferred, with priority given to clinicians licensed across all jurisdictions
• Priority consideration given to clinicians willing to serve pre-adolescent populations
• Passion for high-quality, compassionate mental health care
• Commitment to ongoing professional development
• Desired experience 1-3 years
• Must be local

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with range of diverse clientele
• Availability during after-school hours, evenings, or weekends
• Willingness to work a hybrid schedule (some in-person availability preferred)
