Qualifications

  • Completion of EMDR training meeting recognized professional standards.
  • Experience assessing and treating trauma and related mental-health conditions.
  • Candidates must be independently licensed in Virginia or Maryland; licensure in Washington, DC is preferred, with priority given to clinicians licensed across all jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

  • Assessment and diagnosis — Conduct psychological evaluations, gather clinical histories, administer appropriate assessments, and develop diagnostic impressions when within their scope of practice.
  • Treatment — Treat trauma-related concerns, including PTSD, anxiety, grief, and other trauma-associated difficulties, when within the therapist’s scope of practice.
  • Treatment planning — Establish goals with clients, monitor progress, modify treatment when needed, and make referrals when another service is more appropriate.
  • Client safety — Assess and respond appropriately to risks such as suicide, self-harm, abuse, violence, or other urgent concerns, following applicable laws and professional standards.
  • Documentation — Maintain accurate, timely, and secure clinical records, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and relevant communications.
  • Other responsibilities as required

Our administrative team manages many of the operational demands of practice—including scheduling, billing, credentialing, insurance coordination, and patient support—allowing you to focus on delivering exceptional patient care.

  • Insurance credentialing, contracting, and authorization
  • Insurance billing, claims, and collections
  • Appointment scheduling and Waitlist management
  • Electronic health record support
  • Dedicated intakes, billing, and administrative staff for support
  • Office space, equipment, and routine supplies, as available
Key Clinical Responsibilities

Therapists responsibilities include:

Required Qualifications
  • Completion of an EMDR training program that meets recognized professional standards
  • Have appropriate experience assessing and treating trauma and related mental-health conditions
  • Candidates must be independently licensed in Virginia or Maryland. Licensure in Washington, D.C. is preferred, with priority given to clinicians licensed across all jurisdictions
  • Priority consideration given to clinicians willing to serve pre-adolescent populations
  • Passion for high-quality, compassionate mental health care
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Desired experience 1-3 years
  • Must be local
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with range of diverse clientele
  • Availability during after-school hours, evenings, or weekends
  • Willingness to work a hybrid schedule (some in-person availability preferred)
